We’ve Moved: To the Same Location

By now, you must be asking yourself, what the heck the title of this post is all about. I would like to be the first to welcome you back to SigEpFeds.org or officially welcome you, if this is your first visit.

After thinking about it and mentioning it at the last couple of meetings, we have recently migrated the same old domain name of SigEpFeds.org to a new location. That's right, the SigEp Feds Web site is now a Blog/Web site or some amalgamation thereof. The blog has the same functionality as the Web site but expands upon it in ways that the Web site could only struggle to keep up with.

Here are some of the ways in which hosting the SigEp Feds domain name on a blog benefits the group:

• » We still have access to all of the same great information through links on the sidebar to the right →
• » Once a new event is created/chosen to be hosted, we can update the blog and right there at the top you will know exactly what is going on, or you can select the Events link on the sidebar and find out what is going on right away.
• » Hosting the feed via RSS allows you to never have to visit the SigEp Feds address again and yet still remain updated on what is happening and what items are up for discussion at any time using a feed reader or RSS service such as BlogRovr if you are familiar with that sort of thing; if you're not, learn more about what RSS can do for you.
• » Anyone who is authorized can post without relying on one person to make sure that it is done
• » Anyone can submit an item for discussion (this would depend on our members supplying comments about the post so that a two-way dialog can take place, and I have full faith that it will one day become a reality).
• » We now have, all on one page, a calendar, links to our social network pages, a link to subscribe via RSS or via e-mail alert, photos, chapter and other related links, and if you click on the link of the visitor count, you too can view our visitor statistics at any time.

So, we hope you can see why we have chosen to transition the SigEp Feds Web site into a blog and why it is the preferred platform to host our happenings.
