Seuss On the Loose Update - March 2011

Brothers:

The time is upon us for another year of our "Seuss on the Loose" reading program. For those of you who may not have gotten my email back in December, this program has been in existence for four years now and was developed to honor our Brother, Theodor Geisel a.k.a. Dr. Seuss, who was a Dartmouth University alum class of 1925. It also was designed to bring the magic of his creativity to area school kids. It is a simple concept, every year SigEp brothers from around the DC area get paired up with an elementary school for a mutually convenient day in the beginning of March and they come in and read Seuss to the kids. March 2 is Read Across America Day and is also Dr. Seuss' birthday. If you can spare a couple of hours, I can guarantee you will have as much fun as the kids! The SigEp Journal has written two articles about us; if you would like to see them just email me, I did not attach them so as not to prevent this email from getting to everyone due to an attachment.

Shoot me an email if you can participate. BrandtH605@aol.com

We especially need brothers who can read in downtown DC, the Boys & Girls Clubs of DC have asked for more readers at more locations this year and I would hate to let them down.
